Day and night is a photograph of the moon, printed on Japanese paper, backlit by a handmade wooden light box structure. The photograph was taken with black and white film; while the rainbow was obtained during the scanning process when the camera bar and light went through the curvy negative, the histogram was then adjusted to fully reveal the ‘rainbow’. The work suggests an illusional weather condition - a combination of the artificial and the real.
